Waterskiing with Jesus (wait, whaaatttt??)

Waterskiing with Jesus (wait, whaaatttt??)

Every morning I seek to tune into what creating actions* God desires of me. If I am not in a creative flow which feels supported by God, I feel horrible. I actually usually cannot even function if I try to do so outside of Spirit. I have developed various practices for myself to help me with this. What it feels like is Jesus handing me a towline to waterski.

Catching A Gear (the RIGHT gear!)

Catching A Gear (the RIGHT gear!)

We are designed for and crave the feeling of momentum, forward movement along our true path of creating/action, which makes sense as we are made in the image of God and are therefore sub-creators to God as the Prime Creator. When we choose the wrong gear, our journey feels off. We are having to either push too hard or pedal too quickly to feel ourselves moving forward.

The Sphere of God

The Sphere of God

As we seek to understand how God wants to use us, what he made us for, and how we may take correct action under his will, this mental model may be useful.

The Next Faithful Step?

The Next Faithful Step?

I generally move through my life as if it is like a series of stone pavers that I am walking. Each step onto a new paver. Over the years of dialing in more closely to Holy Spirit guidance, it is as if those pavers have elevated over time to be higher and higher from the "ground." The pavers are where the Holy Spirit wants me to step. In the past, it was easy to step off the pavers onto the regular ground and muck around doing whatever and then come back to my own true pathway. The higher the calling, the higher up the pavers go, and therefore the harder or more treacherous it is to stray off them. This was where hopeful obedience kicked in. And the more obedient I was to God's instruction, the higher up my path went. This had all the benefits one might assume, but it also came with the perils that this metaphor implies.

The Gifted Brain + God's Purpose

The Gifted Brain + God's Purpose

What did God make you for? Do you know? Are you doing/being it? You were made for a unique purpose. To do and be something that literally no one else can be or do. When you finally understand in your mind and feel in your heart what God actually made you for, the clarity melts everything else away.

What is the

What is the "true potential" of the gifted brain [including quest math!]

"You're not living up to your true potential!" How often did you hear this as a young person? From parents or teachers or maybe your own inner voices having internalized the idea? How often did it make you alternately violently angry, full of despair, existentially CHECKED the eff out...? What did it even mean?? Everyone's idea of what you were capable of? Or more accurately and more likely, what they believed you should be doing/learning/being/becoming. UGH. NO. HARD NO. After all, generally speaking, highly gifted people don't want to be boxed in. Freedom is often our #1 value, or at the least it is always in the top 3. And being told what to do/be is the opposite vibe from FREEDOM...

What Changes Once You Accept and Get Skillful with Your Giftedness

What Changes Once You Accept and Get Skillful with Your Giftedness

Recently, someone left this comment on one of my social posts about giftedness and how the new operating manual, as I call it, is here: [image of screenshot] I had to laugh. It was actually too packed with goodies for me to offer a simple response at the time, so I just ignored it, knowing I'd return later to pull on all the useful and also hilariously churlish threads. And someone else popped right in to rebuke them with: "I’ve *always* known my brain was different. Accepting that as a good thing is an entirely different challenge. I know I can’t follow the status quo, but for decades I thought it meant there was something *wrong* with me."

The New Loneliness Epidemic Hits Differently for Highly Gifted Outliers

The New Loneliness Epidemic Hits Differently for Highly Gifted Outliers

The new loneliness epidemic is ancient history for the highly gifted. We experience profound loneliness, often starting as young children, simply because our brains work so differently. We feel our otherness long before we can identify its cause, which we may never accurately do. Instead, it feels like there is a problem with us. A personality or character defect that makes us hard to understand and that makes it hard for us to relate to others.

The Push/Pull of Community and Connection for the Highly Gifted

The Push/Pull of Community and Connection for the Highly Gifted

All humans crave and are inherently designed for connection and community. We are social animals. For us outlier brain peeps, this is super hard. Our brain type places us in a tiny percentage of the population. And then adding in our unique personalities, proclivities, and interests... well, places where we can find true connection are vanishingly rare.

Why Do I Emphasize that My Work is All Human Made with No AI?

Why Do I Emphasize that My Work is All Human Made with No AI?

All of my writing comes from me alone, 100% human made. I don’t use AI for any part of my writing including editing. The fact is that research is already showing the LLM generated literature can fool readers, even those well versed in the author the LLM is imitating. In fact, even the authors can be fooled by LLMs writing in their own style! So we are now moving past the point of saying we can choose to avoid AI content based on personal discernment.

The MANIFESTO for the Highly Gifted Paradigm Breakers + Makers

The MANIFESTO for the Highly Gifted Paradigm Breakers + Makers

Bring that big beautiful brain out of hiding... Fire up the engines! Ready the hyperdrive! We recognize that the dominant paradigms currently organizing human society have failed. Society has reached a maximum decay and dissolution stage and must now be generated ANEW. We understand that the arc of humanity is largely shaped by those with highly gifted brains (even if we still feel some discomfort about this). Our radical pattern recognition capacities show us how a small number of highly gifted people are currently dominating most of the planet.
