Discernment + Discovery
As we seek to understand how God wants to use us, what he made us for, and how we may take correct action under his will, the mental model below may be useful.
Consider God and all of creation as a sphere with God both at the center and outside (as God is not a created being).
All humans can be seen to array around the circumference of the sphere, which creates a unique radial line between God and that person:
Many traditions understand creation to have begun with sound, which we also read in Scripture:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:1-5 ESV
"God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:3 ESV
The visualizations I have been shown by God over the years show all of creation in a mixture of tones/sounds (which create vibration or frequency) and colors which correspond to the tones.
We are each unique prisms created by God to allow a unique refraction of God's Light to shine through us.
Our fundamental purpose is to be as clear a conduit of that light as possible, which allows us to be ever more effectively and accurately an instrument of God's will.
The more we accept and give ourselves over to Jesus, the more cleanly and clearly we can shine out the unique pattern of Light given us.
The radial line that runs directly between us and God is like a slider which we are always moving along in every moment.
Our degree of proximity determines our quality of life; the closer we are to Jesus, the better we feel, the easier it is to be clear, and the more brightly we shine.
I call this radial line the "energy line of accuracy."
For people given a highly gifted brain by God, there are some very particular approaches needed to cleave well to this connection with God and have discernment that is ACCURATE and not distorted by our own human errors or by the enemy.
This is what I teach and mentor people in.
